Many ministries have greatly benefited from working with the Vaughn Street team: From some of the world’s largest faith-based organizations, and international best-selling authors to small local churches and aspiring writers. Millions of people around the globe have been reached as we’ve helped ministries go to the next level. We are a close-knit team, from a variety of backgrounds. Deep in professional experience, with plenty of big-name brands, most also have years of hands-on work in ministry. Each has been graced with pretty remarkable stories of success. Holt might tell you about work for the pop superstar who had the top CD, Hollywood movie, and Billboard single all at once, writing an Amazon best seller with a legendary business guru, or developing Bible study products that became industry success stories inspiring thousands of churches. Marietta journeyed from fashion design to Bible school to CFO.
Ask Julie about her leading a division of the second largest public relations firm in the world, and Scott’s amazing rise in Christian PR (by the way, nobody gives you a better fast-track tour of the Big Apple than Scott and Julie). Erik has won national awards for his storytelling, video and TV prowess. People love to get ten minutes with him. Mike can tell you stories about musical missions trips and orphans in the former Soviet Union, and as a two time entrepreneur he has gritty war stories.
Vaughn Street is also the name of the beautiful country road I grew up on. Our family farms were situated along the street outside a little town in Western New York. Vaughn Street is still very much there, but the family farms are now a memory.
The time and place I grew up hold deep meaning, and so Vaughn Street seemed a fitting name for the company that exists to help others grow. I decided to do this because of a verse of Scripture: “Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1).
For over twenty years, successful people were constantly asking me, sometimes insistently, for extensive assistance in furthering their ministries or businesses. After much consideration, prayer, and counsel, I took the plunge and the company was born, as it seemed the Lord was “building the house.”
I’m humbled by the clients we’ve grown to work with, and our team – the best at what they do. It makes for an amazing experience for us all.

Ever conscious of his need to learn and grow, Holt has kept a long standing advisory team comprised of top legal, financial, ministry and business professionals. This group has differing faith journeys with the common denominator of many years of public and private integrity and Christian service. Holt is also a lifelong reader. Favorites include the Bible, biographies (Churchill: A Life by Martin Gilbert, Parker’s Portrait of Calvin, Whitefield’s Journals, the U.S. founding fathers, etc), books on revival, some puritans and pop culture too. E.M. Bounds, the theological works of Dorothy Sayers and her friends C.S. and G.K, Francis Schaeffer, Tozer (and Ravenhill). Recently reading a lot of the four Johns: Jonathon Edwards, John MacArthur, John Piper, John Stott. Lectures by Ravi Zacharias, papers by Sam Storms. And don’t forget Cold Comfort Farm, all the Wind In The Willows books (read repeatedly), and Calvin and Hobbes (Watterson’s, not history’s).
Holt has developed leading works for international best-selling authors, writing several very successful Bible devotionals and group and individual Bible curricula, used in countless churches, as well as newsletters, and material for television, video, web and print publication. Holt’s devotional and curriculum model contributed to a new standard in the industry. His studies are uniquely creative and interactive, bringing the concept of a Bible curriculum and devotional to a new level. For the reading audience, his unique background allows him to bring together a synergy of technology, theology, history, biography, social and cultural awareness, personal journaling, confession and scripture memorization into relevant, interesting and beautifully designed works of art.
He has contributed to NE Performer and National Religious Broadcasters magazines, as well as leading panel discussions at both NRB and Christian Musicians Summit workshops on marketing, product development, branding, theology and the arts. Holt was key in developing Bill Wilson’s In the Crosshairs personal study and devotional kit, which was chosen a finalist in Outreach Magazine’s prestigious Outreach Awards, alongside Max Lucado’s 3:16 curriculum.
As a recording artist, Holt has recorded several albums including his new work, the upcoming These Songs featuring GRAMMY and Dove artist Phil Keaggy and Muscle Shoals legend Will McFarlane (Joss Stone, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James) and his soon to be re-mastered and re-released Jesus Attitude including duets with former Outlaw Rick Cua (Rick has had mainstream hits with The Outlaws and six #1 songs and nine Top 5 hits as a solo CCM artist) and back-up vocals by Nashville veteran Robert White Johnson (Celine Dion, Faith Hill). Holt has served on college advisory committees, corporate boards, and clergy councils, and his work has been covered in local and national publications and television within the entertainment industry, business world, and Christian community.
Vaughn Street Team Leader, Mike helps leaders and organizations with focus, strategy, ideas, and unique perspective. He has over two decades of real-world experience in business, multimedia, ministry, and music. In addition to his own successful enterprises, he has worked with Holt for over twenty years on a wide variety of projects.

A student of branding and visual storytelling, Erik has spent the last decade architecting media projects for some of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations. He is also an accomplished television producer having created award winning documentary programs viewed throughout the world. In addition, Erik has served on the Church Media Committee for the National Religious Broadcasters and has been blessed to conduct several workshops on the topics of telling your story and media production.
Jon La Porta
Jon brings over 12 years of experience as an award-winning designer. A graduate of the prestigious Canisius College earning a Bachelors degree in both Communication Studies and English, Jon has held positions as Creative Director and Senior Manager. Throughout high school and college, Jon was a competitive rower winning several medals and holding titles including MVP and Team Captain. Jon has successfully completed 1000′s of corporate and institutional Media projects from Fortune companies to pop stars to ministries. His “big ideas” have lead to many successful products and brands. He is also a Member of the International Academy of the Visual Arts. When Jon is not creating products he enjoys Mountain Biking and has been known to jump out of an airplane.
Scott and Julie Spiewak
Scott and Julie’s proficiency in the communications field is wide-ranging, having been in public relations since 1993. Scott is a leader in the public relations industry and has been interviewed in many publications for Fresh Impact’s use of micro sites including Book Business, the leading resource for book publishing professionals, and Black Enterprise, as well as for his knowledge of the publishing industry in The Christian Science Monitor and E-Commerce Times. He is routinely sought after by clients to come and consult their employees on strategic internal and external communication policies. Vice President of Client Relations, Julie Spiewak, has spearheaded NY Times bestseller campaigns and helps our clients communicate their messages profitably through brand development and media coaching. Prior to Fresh Impact PR Group, Julie was publicity director for Planned Television Arts Faith division in NYC and worked in television production for CNN’s Turner Educational Services in Atlanta.
Scott and Julie have handled hundreds of institutional media projects, events and authors for strategic market positioning, branding, and media placement. They’ve had the privilege of executing successful national communication campaigns and NY Times Bestsellers. Their clients routinely appear on top-rated shows. Our team approach is known for producing results. More importantly, we are known for how we accomplish our results: with excellence, integrity, professionalism, enthusiasm, and effectiveness.
Andy contributes twelve years in the information technology field with experience in the financial, manufacturing, customer relationship management, and e-commerce fields. He has expertise in dealing with both small business needs and large-scale enterprise system development and integration. He has worked with such clients as Microsoft, Kraft Foods, and Philip Morris, among many others. In addition, he has experience with multiple ministry organizations and has been a professional recording engineer, producer, and musician for over twenty years.
Richard VanDette, CPIM
Rick is a magna cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he earned a BS degree in mathematics. Since that time, he has focused his attention on building a solid technical and business background in order to effectively apply information technology in creating high-quality solutions to business process problems. Rick is an active member of APICS, the American Production and Inventory Control Society, through which he maintains his CPIM certification. He has worked in a number of organizations throughout his career, holding management positions and serving in project management roles for companies large and small. Yet, for all the technology and process improvement activities, Rick’s heart continues to be for people as he participates in various church-based ministries, endeavoring to show others the Father through love and good works.
Marietta Vaughn is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Cazenovia College where she majored in Fashion Design, minored in accounting and received the college award for design excellence. After graduation, Marietta was offered a coveted internship with world famous designer Mary McFadden. Marietta was instead inspired to attend bible school. She graduated and was subsequently employed by a large ministry in the accounting dept. Marietta has since accumulated years of successful experience in her own rite and alongside her husband Holt. Besides working as the Vice President of a multi-media company, she has been a full time church Administrative Pastor and served as a worship leader, guest speaker, and in countless other ministry related roles. Marietta brings two decades of excellence, practical knowledge and a no-nonsense common sense approach to every project she is a part of.
