Vaughnstreet was pleased to recently complete its latest project with John Eldredge’s Ransomed Heart Ministries and publisher Zondervan.

What we did:
Our creative team began with a unique concept for the video, went into weeks of pre-production and then a several day shoot. During the actual production of the series, our team was responsible for on-site Directing, 3-camera HD Filming, Lighting, as well as Set Build and Design. We also created a Product trailer to help promote the kit in many formats, across multiple mediums. View the trailer here.

Unique concept using infinity background and animated sketches:
To deliver a fresh and current look and feel to this video study we have John and Stasi Eldredge teaching and playfully interacting on a minimalist blank white set or “infinity background”. Then in post production, we playfully introduce each new topic with a unique hand-illustrated animated background that sketches before your eyes around John and Stasi as they begin each session.

Difficult challenge:
We also include candid testimonials from everyday married couples, who share their personal accounts of the victories and battles alike that play out in Love & War. The art direction achieved the difficult balance of both raw and masculine, yet light and feminine, making it comfortable and appropriate for both men and women alike.

The final product is authored on a dual layered DVD-9 disc. It features the 8 Teaching Sessions and Group Discussions, a Product Trailer, lighthearted Outtakes, DVD-ROM content aka DVD@ccess, which serves as a tool that allows the viewer to go deeper into their study.

In addition to the creative, the pre-production, production and post, we were also responsible for the graphic design and layout of the accompanying Participant’s Guide, which is a tool for following along with the video teaching in an intimate setting as a couple or with a group of other couples.
