If you want to be successful in the creative world – whether music, drama, film, graphics, writing, preaching, advertising or any endeavor – you need to go to the veterans. They’ve been there, done that and can (when you are able to squeeze a few minutes from them) make a world of difference for you, saving blood, sweat and tears if we’ll learn from their experience. And of course we can also enjoy their craft and their stories.

It was our pleasure to sit with music industry veteran and chart topping performer Rick Cua recently as we talked about:

- What it takes to “make it” as an artist
- Writers block
- Touring.
- Playing for 100,000 people
- The secular versus the sacred
- And loads of practical powerful advice for those desiring to succeed in their calling in a difficult ever changing industry

Whew! It's been a busy spring for Vaughn Street and for video production at Eastco's California Road Studios. In April we wrapped up filming with Wild At Heart author John Eldredge for his new project, Fathered By God. Over three jam-packed days we shot in mountain ranches, homes, garages, a beautiful castle and even a boxing ring - all beautifully captured using the Panasonic HPX500 HD camera, P+S Technik adaptor, and Zeiss Super Speed 35mm lenses (for you technical geeks).

In May our crews were on the set with Joyce Meyer shooting content for a powerful new curriculum project entitled Love Revolution. In addition to shooting several days throughout downtown St. Louis with Joyce, our team captured 1080i HD footage in Tulsa, OK (with Delirious? front man Martin Smith), in Columbus, OH (with worship leader Darlene Zschech), and in Phoenix, AX (with pastor Tommy Barnett).

Both projects are currently in post production, along with a brand new product for longtime Eastco client, John Bevere Ministries. Look for all three products to be released internationally this fall.
