Working on a Hollywood Film…
If you go to the trouble to build a studio, you want to go for some big fish. We had a chance to do that, and to pray with some film makers in the process (I even handed out some John Eldredge books – we just got through producing a great John Eldredge shoot in Colorado Springs). A mix of exciting and challenging, here’s a few details.
Movie star and pop songstress Hilary Duff’s new movieWhat Goes Up - also starring Josh Peck, Saturday Night Live’s Molly Shannon, Steve Coogan (A Night At the Museum) and Olivia Thirlby, released by Sony Pictures – is about to come out and we did a couple underscore scenes for it in our studios (click here for some photos). We also did the mastering for the movie soundtrack release for our friends at Amherst Records (featuring a new Hilary tune and a Bowie song). We designed and are manufacturing the CD’s too, and we are doing movie posters and flyers and helping with PR and media buys and such – a great mix of the many things our group of companies does. Thank God for diversification. It helps pay the bills (there’s a great lesson in there for anyone who’s interested). Our California Road Studios and our super-engineer Josh Myers even landed a credit in the movie. Cool. Thanks to the film’s Executive Producer Anthony Miranda for his help on this gig – we couldn’t have done it without him … literally. Click here for more.
